RDU: Durham considers downtown parking overhaul: Proposal calls for more spots, more meters and potentially higher costs

DURHAM ā€” The town is exploring an overhaul of its downtown parking policies that could include more spaces, new parking meters and higher costs for some users.

Those proposal, which was discussed during a recent Town Council budget discussion, aims to boost revenue and promote parking turnover around the University of New Hampshire and downtown businesses, according to Councilor James Lawson.

Exact details are still being worked out.
